The professsional education Electrotechnical Engineering in Zeeland was dangerously shrinking in size and appeared not to deliver students with the right skills for electrotechnical companies. Houtekamer & Van Kleef brought nine companies and seven educations together and designed a plan to make education more interesting and more focussed on the skills that companies require. In 2007 we established the association "Friends of Electrotechnology Zeeland".
Houtekamer & Van Kleef successfully applied for external government funding. Onno van Kleef was director of the board and chaired all meetings of members. We led the association for three years until it was thoroughly settled and could function on its own.
